MENTOR PROGRAM

Due to the constant requests for interships and for advice, I've decided to create my mentoring program:

This is an opportunity for other photographers, pros or aspiring pros, to experience first hand the "behind the scenes" world of my studio.

This is a fast-paced, super fun, educational program where nothing is off limits. I will cover everything from basic orgazination, photo equipment, shooting style and techniques, to lighting, post-processing, branding, portfolio review and client base development. I can make your head blow up with an overload of info...

Based on an in-depth questionnaire, a custom tailored plan will be organized to meet YOUR specific needs. It can be broad, covering a variety of subjects lightly or go in-depth into just one. I intend this to be a "hands on" program, where you will be doing everything, not just watching or listening. It will be also be a one-on-one program, where you wil be receiving my undivided attention.

My goal is not to make you a photo clone (as other programs do), but rather to help you develop your own succesful identity, style and business.

Josh's Excellent Adventures: $1600 (full day)

Additional Mentoring: A La Carte: $225/hr

To schedule, contact me at josh@blumental.us

NOTE:This also includes wetplate photography, but there is an additional cost for materials and chemistry.

Your images are unique and inspiring - which drew me to you - but I never expected that spending time learning from you would be have so much impact. Your knowledge of the business of photography, combined with your technical proficiency and creative openness, make you an incredible resource to any photographer. And your personality makes your teaching exceptional!!! Your approach is fun and candid, allowing me to feel both comfortable and inspired. All the information you've shared with me has had a direct and positive impact on my photography business.

Thank you!

Robin

With so many workshops and mentorships being offered these days it is hard to determine where your money will be well spent. Josh Blumental is a rare exception in the photography field as he is both a great artist and a smart business man. He is definitely a person that one could and SHOULD learn from. The things he has taught me in such a short amount of time have been of great value to me. He genuinely cares and wants people to succeed in their art and wants to elevate the photography industry by educating photographers how to appropriately charge for their work. Any opportunity that you have to learn from this guy, TAKE IT!

Thanks Josh!!

Josh inspired me to go from amateur photographer, who never printed a digital image to buying a color printer, showing my photography at a local gallery and launching my own website. Josh helped me work through not only technical issues, like how to send a file from Lightroom to the printer with color adjustments, but gave me invaluable advice about the business and how to realize my dreams of becoming a fine art photographer.
